Well from what i've seen , the majority of people with VIP aren't satisfied with what they get. So me asking you the people what improvements to the VIP area would you like to see?

I'm not one doing the complaining but well let's see what could be done then.

First of make it viable to be and stay VIP. Meaning periodic updates with techniques/uploads. ... VIP drums of the week or some such. perhaps get few of the sample companies onboard with that. Free promotion for them if they do.

I'm thinking it all boils down to, keeping people in the VIP. The reality of it is, not many will contribute just to help out NFX, so there needs to be a carrot to keep people comming back. Perhaps you could get a VIP code that would enable downloading extras/discounts from partners and such... A lil bit like download sites do it now.

Like I said the VIP forums needs a kick in the butt, perhaps some VIP only contests/battles?

The file saction could do with a breath of fresh air. Get some free/promo plugins and instruments up there. The oh so coveted synth presetsa and so on.

Stuff like that. Ofcourse all that takes time to do, and someone to do it.

how about some good vip tutorials??? I haven't seen a new tutorial in quite some time. and the tutorials is why people is here. You couled allways do some remakes tutorial how hit songs are put toghter. it don't have to be any advanced musictheory thang.

I'm not saying I think VIP is perfect. I want to hear what people want and I want to provide what I can, but I don't see it as a MAJORITY of people are dissatisfied.

A few squeaky wheels have complained. I'm very clear on what you get in VIP when you read the donate page - In a nutshell, you get to see the VIP tutorials and access all the 1000+ files (VIP, Archives and FLME).

Most people appear satisfied but don't bother to post about it like the complainers. There are 150 active VIPs as of this writing and probably 5 complainers. Ironically, a majority of the complainers I have witnessed are ones that got it free through referrals or uploads.

I always want to offer VIP more so if anyone out there has some content you made and think is VIP material (articles, drumkits, sounds, presets, etc), talk to me - nfx@warbeats.com -  and we'll see what we can do.

"Ironically, a majority of the complainers I have witnessed are ones that got it free through referrals or uploads."

Lol, guilty! I think that is coz those people "hustle" more till they get VIP, thinking there is some big bang after but it's not such a big deal as they thought.

The VIP needs what Sabotage said, and that thing, free drumkits from quality commercial companies would be great

Seeing as commercial kits cost real $$ I would have to charge a lot more and remove free VIP to license and distribute commercial files. Take the Goldbaby kits as an example. They are high quality and reasonable price. The average cost for one kit is about $15-$20 (in WAV format).

Right now in the VIP file area you have over 20 downloadable sound kits (drum kits, soundfonts) and thats not counting the many more in the archives or the bonus FLME sounds. VIP costs $15 and you get HUNDREDS more files. Even the remakes contain usuable sounds and patches.

Maybe people expect warez in there but it's not going to happen. Today so many people are so used to getting free commercial software via rapidshare and torrent sites, I can see where a legitimate resource can be seen as underwhelming. I can't and will not compete with sites that distribute warez.

Just to clarify what I said. I did not mean there to be full commercial kits, I meant developing relations with the said sample makers and getting them to give out promotional kits, which then would go for the VIP's.

I'm not saying it to diss the kits there, it would just be a good carrot. As a beginner it is not so easy realise or trust your ear enough to understand that many free kits are better then some commercial ones.

I have tried to partner with some sites - GoldBaby was one of them. But they don't seem interested in making something for free when they can sell it.

I've even offered to pay a guy to make VSTs for Warbeats but that fell through.

I'm open to offers and help though. If anyone can broker a deal with a sample or VST maker, I'd be glad to show my appreciation.

Yea basically what i think VIP needs is new tutorials for a start, I dont see any updates there since when i was a VIP. and also, maybe you could add in deals that come out of the VIP, like a month free VIP soundclick, a free licence for the myspace friend blaster or stuff like that. Also I think you should upload VSTs that are freebies on other sites, which is free to do, legal (i think) and is usefull for us, as we dont have to run around everywhere finding them.

That last idea isnt so bad, hook up with the designers of free VSTis and ask to provide the d/l of the VSTis

The only reason i'm currently interested in VIP is for maybe the forums, but apparently there dead, and maybe a remake and some files. ive considered donating many times, but not for havin VIP, jus to give back something, and i still intend to when i can afford to. but theres no other reason why i would want to donate other than as a thanks to nfx.

With the internet, the point of a paid membership thing seems so obsolete now, u can d/l so many kits, samples and VSTis (im talkin legally, bur of course......) and theres so many forums that have so much to other and so many great sites offerin production tutorials, that it seems ludicrous any1 would pay to get it

And NFX, please do not ever put warez on this site, or allow it at all :)

O and I think K-Ta-Klysm is right, alot of people come to the site new or newish and hear alot about VIP and want in on it, find out about referrals and do what they can to get referrals. So they may make a youtube vid, or to go other forums and try there best to get referrals, and when they do get VIP, they realise theres nothing much to it and feel like they have wasted their time.
The other group, who have VIP from uploading files feel similar, they have created a kit, have a 1/3 chance of VIP, hope to get lucky, keep going until they do. They eventually get VIP and are disappointed by the hype and end up feeling the same.
The reason those paying for it don't complain, is because they aren't paying for VIP for the sake of VIP, they are donating to warbeats and NFX, the VIP is just a bonus to them.

This is why the complaints are coming from those who haven't paid/donated for their VIP.

The VIP thing is kind of a slave to itself. It gets hyped alot on the site, but in reality its not all that (AS I HEAR). So by improving it, your only going to make the problem bigger, if you follow.

line 6. "bur" should be "but".
line 6. "other" should be "offer"

I'm not a vip so let me tell you what would make me bite not seeing the vip section. Presets.. There are so many good free vsts out there but most don't have very good presets and some have none at all. FPC drumkits or any other types of drumkits that can be a 1 click load of good sounding drums packaged together.

It's hard to find creativity when you are spending hours just finding drum sounds that sound good together or tweaking a vst to give you a good sound.

Any advice or feed is appreciated.

WORD!

Because I see ALOT of new plugins, each one saying it's unique, and when you get it, you realise there are a few good presets and a big bunch of bullish.

Presets would be a good thing for VIP
